Cats and kittens have completely different nutritional needs to dogs and cats. There are things that you would happily give other animals that are actually poisonous to felines. Always ensure that you steer clear of the cheap cat food in favor of a top quality brand which will have all the nutrition and vitamins that your pet need to stay healthy.
In actual fact, fats, as opposed to carbohydrates are the main supply of stored energy contained within our bodies. There is a lot of scientific evidence to back this up, as well. Now glycogen, is the principle source of our body’s carbohydrates. Since glycogen is quite bulky and holds a large amount of water, our body is not able to store very much of it. On the other hand, fat has the ability to be tightly packed without the presence of water. Therefore, fat can store a much greater amount of energy than glycogen can, especially in a confined space.

Man has strayed over the years in terms of the diet that God originally intended. God never asked us to focus on meats but mostly on fruit, vegetables and water. You inherit the diseases and toxins in the animals you consume. I am not advocating that everyone turns to vegetarian dishes. I am encouraging that. Hard it maybe but for one who desires long life and shuns unnecessary collapse of body’s health and defense mechanisms it is a goal worth aiming at. I have certainly cut down on my red meat intake and I am on my way to ensuring that my diet is balanced and as natural as possible. I realized that I am responsible for my own health and well being not anyone else.
There are many ideas about what combination or percentages you should eat of the various nutrients – protein, carbohydrates, and fat. I don’t believe that exact percentages exist, which will provide weight loss and good health for all individuals. Each one of you will require different percentages depending on your weight, health, body structure, emotional make-up and a variety of other conditions. For this reason some diet programs work with some people and not with others.
It is essential to consider the damage you might be doing to your body if you do not eat the right diet. The rise in the incidence of diabetes and blood pressure can be directly related in some cases to the amount of dietary damage caused by too much carbohydrate and salt intake in the daily diet. It all adds up. A healthy diet needs to include fruit and vegetables. It needs to include water! You need to be aware of the need to get you plate in balance… That is a plate either round or square and not a takeaway container.
Eating a balanced diet is all about making your energy as fat and carbohydrates… but not only! The body also needs protein for cell manufacturing, fiber for easy digestion, minerals and vitamins for growth and vitality. However, no food concentrates all these nutrients at once! The balance to diet must therefore play the complementarity between the different families to meet all our nutritional needs.
